So here's an update since i havent done one since july last year or something.

First off Prue and i went to see Hostel tonight Ok i didnt have high expectations of this film and neither did she, But OMG what a waste of both of our time. To everyone raving about the great gore in this film? whaaa? i see worse images when i close my eyes at night :P. Storyline was shite too and the only reason to go see this film is if you are a 12 year old boy wanting to wank in public as the first 30min is just soft core porn.

Now thats out of my system.

1 - EXT - Deserted Race Track Walkway - Afternoon

PETER enters frame walking down the hall talking on the phone. A Series of close up shots of hand dialing the phone, feet walking and a betting slip falling to the ground.

PETER

Hey Its Peter is Al in?

Peter checks his watch absently as he waits to be put through.

PETER

Al its peter i need another day.

(Pause)

There's nothing i can do...Shit Al

(Pause)

Al hangs up on peter

PETER

Peter throws his phone at the wall shattering it. He sits against the wall looking defeated.

Fade to black with title.

2 - INT - Stairwell

Peter enters the stairwell and walks ups the stairs and tries the door finding it locked. Kicking the door he heads back down trying each door on the way past finding them all locked Including the one he entered from.

PETER

Well this is just perfect now isn't it.

Peter starts back up the stairs and as he does he hears a door open on one of the upper floors and calls out

PETER

Hey hold the door

Peter runs up the stairs only to hear the door close and see KATHRYN standing there.

PETER

Thanks allot

KATHRYN

Peter tries the door finding it still locked from this side

PETER

I asked you to hold the door

We are stuck in here

3 - INT - Stairwell

Quick montage of shots of Peter and Kathryn trying the door handles again, pushing against the doors and such.

4 - Sitting on stairs - 10 minutes later

Peter and Kathryn sit opposite each other on the stairs.

KATHRYN

Short uncomfortable silence with peter not meeting her eye line

PETER

I'm Peter by the way

KATHRYN

Kathryn...

Kathryn fumbles through her bag and takes out a pack of smokes, In doing so she inadvertently exposes a pile of notes sticking out of her purse.

Peters eyes lock onto the money.

KATHRYN

I was only supposed to run up to the ATM and back

I wasn't expecting to get stuck in here.

She offers up a smoke but catches his eyes locked onto the money.

KATHRYN

...Smoke?

Peter quickly looks away as he waves off the cigarette offer.

5 - INT - By The Window - 1 Hour Later

Peter stands looking out the window while Kathryn stands nearby with her back to the wall.

PETER

So..

What were you late for?

KATHRYN

PETER

Before...

You mentioned you were running late.

KATHRYN

I just hade some loose ends to tie up at work

Peter sags slightly and his gaze drops to the floor

PETER

I was just thinking maybe its time to get away from it all

Another uncomfortable silence between the two and peter takes a quick glance at her purse when she isn't looking.

Moments pass then they hear the door above them open and a GROUNDSMAN enters

GROUNDSMAN

I thought i heard people in here

You do know this is for staff only right?

PETER

Its about fucking time

Peter walks upto the door then stops. Turning to Kathryn peter says

PETER

After You

Kathryn hesitates for a split second then proceeds through the door followed by Peter

6 - EXT - Raised Walkway

Peter walks through the door as its closed by the Groundsman who goes into the staircase.

Peter carefully reaches forward with his hand to grab the money while her back is to him but decides against it at the last second

Kathryn turns and smiles at him.

KATHRYN

Well i can't say it was fun

But it was nice to meet you Peter

Kathryn extends her hand and Peter shakes it saying.

PETER

Was nice to meet you too Kathryn

Maybe ill seeya around

Kathryn's phone rings and peter turns away to look over the race track as Kathryn says

KATHRYN

Yeah Al, I'm just finishing up now.

Realization dawns on Peters face as she draws her gun, levels it at the back of peters head and fires.

Peter goes over the rail and takes a two story DIVE to the Pavement below.

PETER enters frame walking down hall talking on the phone. Boxes and rubbish line the walls. Series of close ups of hand dialing phone, feet walking etc.

Al is expecting my call.

PETER checks his watch absently, while he waits to be put through.

PETER

(PHONE)

2. INT STAIRWELL NIGHT

Peter enters the stairwell the phone starts to go dead.

PETER

Till the end of the week.

Al,..Al..You there?

PETER checks the phone’s signal and its dead and he tosses the phone against the wall.

PETER

Fucking phone.

PETER walks down the stairs and tries to open the door (B) but it is locked. He kicks the door, looking around he walks down to the lower door(C)to try that. PETER hears the top door (A) open and calls out.

PETER

Hey! Hold the door...

Peter walks to the rail to find Kathryn has entered the stairwell.

Behind her the door closes.

Peter pushes past her and tries the door to find it locked.

KATHRYN

Damn it, watch where you’re going.

PETER

Were locked in.

KATHRYN

That’s all I need, I am already running late.

3 INT STAIRWELL – 5.345min later

Kathryn sits on the stairs by the rail while peter stands with his back to the wall opposite her.

PETER
I’m Peter by the way.

KATHRYN shakes his hand.

KATHYRN
Kathryn…

KATHRYN fumbles through her bag and takes out a pack of smokes exposing the money in her purse.

Peter’s eyes lock onto the money and Kathryn catches him out as she offers up the smokes

PETER declines, waving it away

PETER

I wasn’t expecting to get stuck in here.

Peter looks slightly confused.

4 INT (SECURITY CAMERA) STAIRWELL

From the corner high angle we view them as a security camera
we can see them but not hear them. Kathryn backs on the top door while peter signals the security camera.

5 INT STAIRWELL

Peter turns and notices her back to him and the purse on the steps. He creeps closer but just as he is in reach she turns back around.

PETER
So what were you late for?

KATHRYN
Huh?

PETER
Before…

KATHRYN

PETER

Door busts open and a janitor walks in and turns to the two on the stairs.

JANITOR

I just got back from my rounds and saw

You two on the security monitor.

PETER

Peter walks over to the door but turns to face Kathryn and says

Kathryn hesitates for a split second then walks through the door followed by peter.

The janitor closes the door after them and stays inside the stairwell.

6 EXT Car park Walkway

Peter follows her out the door and clenches his hand into a fist and starts to raise it to strike as she turns towards him.

KATHRYN:

KATHRYN extends her hand and peter shakes it saying

PETER:

Was nice to meet you too Kathryn…

Guess I might see you around sometime.

PETER turns and starts to walks to his car.

A few steps into it KATHRYN’S PHONE rings.

PETER stops as KATHRYN answers and realization dawns as she says the words.

KATHRYN

(PHONE)

As KATHRYN finishes she levels her gun at the back of PETERS head and fires.

So yeah certain ppl have been badgering me to post so here i am.

Not too much has been happening really besides i tossed in my film job to go park cars then when that fell thru i kinda went back to the film stuff.

The good side of that is im making my own film. Written,Directed and produced by me and will be shooting it in like 9 days from now. ill throw some images up next week sometime

All ill say bout the flm is its a short thriller with two people trapped in a closed space.
